We begin the job application process while you are still in training. This makes it so you can start driving as soon as possible after graduation and many of our students receive pre-hire offers. Over-the-Road (OTR)
- Hauling freight via public highways through the United States
- Route usually through the continental 48 states
- Often on the road for 3-4 weeks at a time
- Driving solo to transport goods and materials
- Two drivers work together and take turns driving
- A great choice for couples to spend more time together while earning money
Regional
- Transporting freight within a radius of a few hundred miles of a central location
- If based in Phoenix, no East Coast runs
- Usually on the road for 2-3 weeks at a time
- Work as an instructor at a CDL school
Owner-Operator
- Individuals who own their own tractor-trailer and operate a trucking business
- May lease with a motor carrier or operate under their own authority
- Drivers stay close to home
- Routes usually stay within the state
- Many local drivers are home daily or nightly
